Food Hygiene Rating for Spoon World Buffet & Bar

Excellent varoety of food, friendly, welcoming and helpful staff...all in all a nice family environment...I would highly recommend

Food was ok but organisation, service and the way everyone was packed in so you couldn't get to your table was very annoying. Also placed near to the front door which was continuously opening and closing blowing a cold draught on to us, strong enough to keep blowing the napkins off the table. Staff watched us wait at the bar for a few minutes before telling us we were standing in the wrong place! This was a bar with beer mats and drip trays on it! A little more courtesy goes a long way guys!

Went to Basildon spoon with my son and husband my son didn't want to eat so we was refused to sit all 3 off us to b told my son had to sit outside and wait for us manager was very rude even sarcastic by opening the door with a sarcastic grin to let us out wouldn't even let him sit there if we brought him a drink apoling there loss by not getting no money out of us at all won't b recommending this resurant

went here Wednesday for lunch with my friend it was our first visit and was really nice food, staff and very clean..will be coming back.

Arrived with a party of 9, had not previously booked but we're seated really quickly. Excellent choice of food catering for all tastes within our party. Lots of choices of dessert. Plates were cleared quickly. Would definitely recommend and eat here again.

Not impressed at all. They handed out discount flyers to lure people in, but when we tried to use one they insisted their "quota of vouchers had been used up for the day". We tried 6 days in a row! I do not think they ever had any intention of accepting these vouchers. Total con. On principle I will not be dining here with my friends. They just lost a huge Christmas booking with my company also!

People leaving bad reviews, seriously !! Firstly
There's a bar to get your own drinks so don't expect to be waited on !!
The food is great and a good choice , very clean and quick to clear old plates etc before you go for another serving
Keep
Up the good work I will be a regular that's for sure

Tried out Spoons tonight in Basildon. Arrived around 6pm. Well it ticked all the boxes for my family. Great choices of food, well impressed. Something there for everyone. Deserts just as excellent, would definitely recommend to others and return. Good Luck Spoons for a great future.

Just been here for lunch. Must say I was very disappointed with the range of food on offer. The waitress who greeted us advised there was Indian, Chinese, Mexican, English, Italian, Japanese, Kebabs and a vast range of desserts.
More than half of the serving dishes were empty, there wasn't any Mexican (I did ask!), the Italian consisted of a cheese Pizza and a Pepperoni Pizza. The English was a few Nuggets and Chips. The Sushi on offer was eight pieces of the vegetable rice kind (no fish). The desserts were a few cubes of four different types of cake, half a gateau (don't know what flavour) and icwe cream. The chocolate fountain wasn't on.
On top of this we were not asked if we wanted a drink at all.
Wouldn't visit agian but maybe I was just unlucky this time

as an ex member of staff I wouldn't eat here. The owners do not pay the minimum wage to their staff, i worked long hours for less than 5 per hour.

Great food, huge choice. Excellent servers and bar staff. Best buffet restaurant in Basildon in my opinion. Highly recommend.
